Just a week to go for the birthday celebrations,
Some of you must be concluding your Plummy deliberations;
Whipping up some juicy anecdotes and posts,
Which can be read with much glee by the party hosts.
With doors shut, the brain firing on all twelve cylinders,
Time perhaps to pen down the life’s goofy blunders;
Creative juices sloshing about, a tissue restorative by your side,
Between us bosom pals, there is never a thing to hide.
There are no contests to be entered into, nor any prizes to be won,
Either with your brain or with your heart, just pen down a juicy one;
The soft inner glow of happiness is all that you would require,
A rainbow of adulation around your shoulders you will surely acquire.

With stalwarts like you,Honoria Glossopll and others what chance do we lesser gifted people have ? Mr. Bhatia you are one of the most accute devotees of Wodehousel. I never cease to wonder at the delicate naunces of the Master you bring forth. Every angle of his works get your brilliant touch and I read you with the greatest pleasure.

Dear Ashok,
That was a great verse.
What resonated for me was this line, and I quote, “Time perhaps to pen down the life’s goofy blunders.”
Do we really need to pen these down? What purpose would that serve really? After all, aren’t most of us okay with how we have wound up becoming, having constantly negotiated life’s arrows and barbs?
Cheers
Shakti

Dear Shakti Ghosal,
Thank you for the compliment. I meant it by way of a gentle nudge to any of the residents of Plumsville who would like to post something on the upcoming birth anniversary.
You are right. There is no need. However, many of us have a tendency to whip up something on the occasion – it could be analytical, emotional or autobiographical. The last one, of course, applies to those who have an anecdote from their routine lives, and who wish to share it with others.
Allow me to share this one with you:
